Impact—

During my stint at Advertising Week, we launched an award show called D&AD Impact, in a joint effort between D&AD in London and Advertising Week in the U.S.. D&AD Impact exists to celebrate commercial projects with purpose-driven benefits, that there is purpose beyond profit. We believe that commerce and cause can benefit from each other. With creating the award and hosting the ceremony in the U.S., the project served as D&AD’s initial entry to establish foothold in the U.S. We collaborated with Turner Duckworth for the brand identity, and Mekanism for a call for entries.

Impact is created based on a set of shared beliefs;
belief in the need for businesses to have purpose beyond profit;
belief in the power of creativity to create change and be a force for good;
belief in the crucial role of brands and business in creating a better, fairer more sustainable world.
